Polar Panorama (filter)

This photo is the same as my other Polar Panorama except I added a filter that gave it this white looking effect.

Polar Panorama

I created this photo by using three photos that I took at Twin peaks. I combined and cropped three photos. Then change the picutre size so that it was not rectangular but a square, after taht I inverted the picture then I distorted it with polar coordinates.

My Choice

This photo was taken in my car, I made the cross really big and the focus of the picture to give it emphasis. I edited this photo on photo shop a little, I made the picture brighter to give it that bright look and i also blurred out the back. then i made the cross a little darker so that it really stands out. In this picture there is color, the background has very light mellow colors while the cross is a warm and dark color; that really made it stand out. In this photo emphasis is really used through the colors, how it is centered, and the detail of the cross and how big it is made to look.

Photoshop Altered image

I took this photo on the Mercy Campus, it is actually the same photo as the one I used for my Element of Design, but I edited this photo on Photo shop. Unlike the other one, this photo looks more like a painting; i gave it a grainy look to have that effect. This picture contains color, the bright red really balances out against the cool green from the bush. This image also contains balance, the photo looks even on both sides, and although the flower is leaning down a little bit, it looks secure and even since it is in the center of the photo.

Photo in Style of Carol Henry

This is my favorite picture! I took this in the style of carol Henry. I did this by taking flower buds and putting them onto a couple pieces of printer paper. Then i put the paper on top of glass and i had my little sister use a flashlight to shine light through the buds while i took a couple of photos. On the computer I edited a little to make the flowers look clearer and to give the picture that light blue tint on the open spots. This picture contains color, it has the warm and bright red color and then the cool blur and white. The colors perfectly balance this photo out and really preserve the beauty of the flower buds. This image also contains emphasis because the buds are made to look big and the viewers can see the details and beauty of each individual bud.

Best Actor Head Shot

This is a photo of my little brother posing to take a formal picture. In this photo he had a thinking face on portraying the emotions of being spaced out or daydreaming. This photo shows
space because of the wall in the back that it is white. Since the wall is white it really gives my brother emphasis because he is wearing a black jacket.

Self Portrait

This is a photo of me in my garage right in front of my desk. This picture shows lines through the horizontal lines created by the wood pieces which draw the viewers eyes toward me. The vertical wood beams also lead the viewers eyes toward me. There is also assymetrical balance in this image because the rightside only has the wall while the left side has me in it and the bicycle on the wall.

Environmental Portrait

This is a picture of my little brother in my house. This is environmental because he is watching tv, he has a lollipop in his right hand, a remote in his right hand, and he is right in front of the tv sitting on the floor watching cartoons. This image shows texture throuugh the wood floors and the lines in them. This picture also shows emphasis on my brother because it is exactly centered in the photo.

Candid Portrait (Mercy Girl)

This photo was taken in the hallways of Mercy one morning. This mercy student was quietly reading or studying while waiting for class. She did not know the picture was being taken, you can see that because she is not looking at the camera. This image shows space, the door and the wall show a lot of space, so does the side of the locker and the little piece of the floor. This photo uses variety because there are so many colors. The locker is a light grey color, the door is red, the wall is peach, the floor is a mix of reds and pink, and there is the thing in between the girl and the locker that has white, blue, and green on it.

Shutter Photo

This photo was taken in my kitchen while I was using different shutter speeds and modes in my camera. I slected this photo because it came out looking the best for this situation. It was set at an indoor mode with a little bit of flash. This picture demonstrates Line in the way that the sticks in the vase bring the viewer's eyes down to the vase. It also shows assymetrical balance through the way that there are three sticks on one side and only one on the other. It really makes the picture heavier on the left side.

Ansek Adams Nature Photography

This photo was taken on the Mercy campus. It was early in the morning so that i could catch the suns best light. This photo really portrays Ansel Adams true look of nature and how she tries to make everything look as it does if you were there. I also left the brightness behind the trees because it makes the viewers curious as to what is there, makes them wish they could be there and go look for themselves. This picture contains a lot of lines; most created by the trees, but there are many on the leafs of the bush on the bottom left. This image also contains Proportion created between the bush and the trees, which really give the viewer a good sense of how afar and big the trees are.

Principle of Design

This photo was taken in my garage, it is a photo of my shoe that was purposely taken on the top right corner so that it could be categorized under a principle of design. This picture shows a lot of space, the whole bottom half of the picture just shows the floor and the behind the shoe there is the garage door, which is a bit hard to see because of the darkness which was done on purpose and created by using flash. This photo shows asymmetrical balance, the top right half of the picture seems a lot heavier and uneven because of the shoe.

Element of Design

This photo was taken on the Mercy campus and it was taken early in th morning to get a perfect amount of sun. This image uses a lot of natural shape; the flower it self has very beautiful shapes that are created by the buds. There are also the shapes the leafs create and the vines. This image also uses emphasis because the flower is made to look really big and stand out above everything else in the picture. It is centered and its bright color makes it pop from the cool green color.

Sunprint Image

This image was take on a special piece of paper that used the sun to make it darker, i put my keys and my watch to cast a shadow on it. This shadow left the lighter colored image on it after it was rinsed in water. My sunprint uses a lot of space, as you can see there is a lot of dark blue in the paper. It also uses emphasis in the way that the shadow's lighter color really stands out with the rest of the sunprint being a darker blue.
